Joyal Miranda is an Associate Professor at the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing – Faculty of Community Services Toronto Metropolitan University. Dr. Miranda’s research is focused on HIV prevention interventions among men having sex with men as well as care with individuals living with HIV/AIDS. 

Dr. Miranda’s areas of research inquiry include:

 

• The use of web-based interventions as a mode of delivery for various interventions relevant to HIV prevention and care of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

• The self-care management and health related behavioural changes of individuals living with HIV.
