HOPE’s New Funding Opportunities

The HOPE (Health Outcome Promotion and Engagement) Centre for Sexual and Gender Minority People is pleased to announce two funding opportunities to support research and knowledge mobilization in the health of sexual and gender minority (SGM) individuals.


HOPE Centre Seed Research Grant
$8,000–$10,000 | 1-year funding
- Designed to support new and emerging lines of community-engaged, interdisciplinary research that advances SGM health, including intersectional and equity-focused work.
- Application deadline: March 2nd, 2026 (11:59 PM EST)

HOPE Centre Conference Fund
Up to $1,000 | Funding: February 1st, 2026 - January 31, 2027
- Supports undergraduate students, graduate students, and early-career researchers presenting SGM-focused research at academic conferences.
- Applications accepted in cycles throughout the year

We welcome applications from researchers and community-based organizations across disciplines, particularly those working collaboratively with SGM communities.
